THEATRE NIGHTS ARE BACK
The sad news is that summer is over but the great news is that Theatre Nights return to Howth Golf Club on Friday night, October 6th, when we launch our winter series with a marvellous theatrical adaptation of Oscar Wilde’s classic novel “ The Picture of Dorian Gray”.
This intrigueing play combines Victorian drawingroom comedy and Gothic horror, and offers a compelling, intimate and hugely entertaining evening.
The story tells how the boyishly beautiful Dorian Gray makes a Faustian pact with the Devil that he will forever remain young while his picture charts his decline into sin and self-destruction.
This production, featuring three talented actors, has toured Ireland and abroad to critical acclaim and will match the high standards which we have set in Howth Golf Club. Indeed, we are planning to make this a unique audience experience as the play will unfold in and around our audience, an experience not normally found in any theatre setting but which our Carrickbrack Room will allow.
So get those diaries out and pen in Friday, October 6th, at 8.00pm. We promise you a great start to our Theatre Nights in Howth Golf Club 2017/18 programme. Tickets will be available in the bar or from committee members from Friday September 15th.
Don’t miss this exciting night.

Founded in 1916 the heath land links style course was designed by the renowned golfer and course architect James Braid, a 5 times winner of “The Open” Golf Championship who can count the design of the prestigious Kings and Queens Courses at Gleneagles amongst his greatest achievements.
James was well known for including dog leg design golf holes in his course designs and the 5th hole in particular is an excellent example of how he blended a great golf hole into the unique Howth Heathers. The exceptional views from the 16th tee are worthy of mention in any golf guide.
