On a typical Summer’s evening, with howling gale and hailstones, 39 well muffled up masochists disported their unrivaled ability to endure hardship in the pursuit of enjoyment!

As usual, some excellent efforts were produced to prove something or other.

Howth had a magnificent victory in the second round of the Barton Cup against The Links Portmarnock, winning two matches out of three away (& only losing the top match on the 18th) on Sunday the 10th May.  At home we won one match and the other match was called in with Howth one down after 16.  The Manager, Colm Carton & the Assistant Manager, Declan Fallon and all the team are to be commended for a fine performance in trying and difficult conditions.

We now look forward to the next match, which I understand will be against the holders Corrstown Golf Club.
