48 brave souls set out to test their metal amid the fire and brimstone surrounding the course this week. If that wasn’t enough we had also to contend with a howling gale and dense cloud – ideal “Summer” conditions!!! The Mondaynighters are made of stern stuff and though kippered, scorched and slightly overdone in some cases, managed to bring in some excellent scores.

This evening’s competition was The Captain’s Prize to the Mondaynighters and 45 members battled for the coveted honour of receiving the prize from our Captain. We were blessed with wonderful weather and scoring was the best seen this season. The presentation of prizes took place in a crowded Shielmartin Room with all those with good scores anxiously waiting to hear the result and everyone enjoying the hospitality, generously provided by our Captain.
