The Man in the Woman’s Shoes

Just to reassure you – we are not talking about any member of Howth Golf Club but about our next Theatre Evening when we are delighted to offer you another marvellous nights entertainment with this production, a one man show written and performed by that outstanding Irish actor, Mikel Murfi.

31 golfers played the first Tuesday Open Singles of the year in glorious sunshine and a light easterly breeze. Slick greens made for a lot of 3 putts but a fantastic round of golf from Declan Fallon proved a score was out there somewhere.

This was our first 9 hole H’cap. Qualifying Competition and 37 “hardies” participated in beautiful golfing conditions. Our numbers were somewhat depleted due to some of our usual “suspects” being away on tour and others participating in match-play commitments.

Tuesday Nighters Results 22nd April 2014

Another good turn out and scoring was hot despite a LITTLE fog.
On that subject, in future, if fog comes down on the course please play any alternative 9 holes e.g. 1,2,3,4,8,short 17 from yellow mark (150 M), 18, 10 and 9. I will assign strokes applicable.

Please support the 18 hole white marker competition on 29th. You can play in both comps by entering computer for 18 hole and Tue Nighters book for 9 holes.

Please note that all players must tee of before 6.30 pm to allow our New Member group to play on the course in the final Tuesday of their introduction course.
