We were once again blessed with a fabulous day for our Grand Finale and 88 competitors turned out to enjoy one of the best days for ages and scoring matched the conditions.
The Prize Giving Dinner was well attended and the guest of honour was our Captain Michael, who proposed the toast to The Mondaynighters. He made many gracious comments about our group and also, earlier in the day, had been present in the waiting area to wish us well as we set out on our individual quest for glory! George Kearns replied on our behalf.
Apart from the major prize winners, every competitor attending the dinner left with a prize due to the generosity of our fellow members who presented a table full with a magnificent array of “goodies”.

As our season closes, The Mondaynighters wish to thank all those who presented prizes during the year and helped out when required. We thank John McGuirk for his generosity, encouragement and support. We also thank Jimmy Tully who is ever present with useful advice and active support. I especially want to thank Michael Kelly for his total commitment to ensure that everything that needed to be done was done.
We look forward to 2014 with great expectations to increase our numbers and our enjoyment in our Monday competitions. We wish our Vice-Captain, Muiris, every good fortune and success when he takes on his more onerous, and hopefully more enjoyable duties next year.
