Well done to all who took part and well done to those who featured in the prizes. Next weeks winter league is on Saturday and Sunday and the Time Sheets are open for bookings.

Thank you to all those members who carried their golf bags at the weekend, it made a great difference with trying to keep damage on the course to a minimum. The Forecast for the next five days looks favourable and this will hopefully, should it stay that way, give the course an opportunity to begin to dry.

Founded in 1916 the heath land links style course was designed by the renowned golfer and course architect James Braid, a 5 times winner of “The Open” Golf Championship who can count the design of the prestigious Kings and Queens Courses at Gleneagles amongst his greatest achievements.

James was well known for including dog leg design golf holes in his course designs and the 5th hole in particular is an excellent example of how he blended a great golf hole into the unique Howth Heathers. The exceptional views from the 16th tee are worthy of mention in any golf guide.
